About Ergo Canto
Ergo Canto is a folk music duo composed of Paul Beck and Leslie Bryant. They perform a wide variety of original songs, covers, and traditional folk material.
In addition to vocals, you may hear six and twelve string guitars, fiddle, flute, mandolin, harmonica, and more!
Paul Beck took early retirement from a high tech career to focus on music, woodworking, and crossword puzzles. He plays guitars, mandolin, cittern, and banjo.
Leslie Bryant is a speech therapist in the Boston school system. She plays fiddle, flute, harmonica, and percussion.

Oh, by the way ... as to the name ... originally we were going to call ourselves Les Paul, but that would have made it kinda hard to get a website... Next best seemed to be an obscure Latin phrase that probably makes people think we sing madrigals instead of folk music. Seriously, if you're familiar with Rene Descarte's immortal quotation
"Cogito, ergo sum" (I think, therefore I am) you might see how Ergo Canto ("Therefore we sing") might fit us.
